XPO, formerly XPO Logistics, is a leading less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier headquartered in Greenwich, Connecticut. It covers nearly every ZIP code in the United States and reaches Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean through a single source, so one carrier can handle freight across North America.
XPO is a technology-driven carrier. It uses its own software, data science, and machine learning to run its network efficiently and to make shipping simpler for customers.
Built to add capacity
XPO keeps investing in the capacity its customers depend on. It adds new terminals and expands existing ones, builds its own trailers in-house, and trains new drivers at its own driver schools, so it can add capacity quickly when demand rises.
For shippers, capacity is what keeps a rate and a pickup date dependable in a busy season. A carrier with room in its network is more likely to take the load on the day you need it moved.
Shipping XPO through RS Group
XPO is often a strong choice for LTL freight on long, national lanes, where its coverage of nearly every U.S. ZIP code means one carrier from origin to destination. On shorter regional lanes, a regional carrier can sometimes deliver faster or for less.
You do not have to work that out yourself. When you request a quote, we price XPO alongside the rest of our carrier network for your lane, weight, and freight class, and book the carrier that fits the shipment best. Every booked shipment is in Priority1, with its tracking, paperwork, and invoices in one place.

Use our tools
Freight density calculator
Calculate your density
An accurate LTL rate starts with accurate numbers. Density is the weight of your load divided by its volume in cubic feet, measured in pounds per cubic foot (PCF): multiply length, width, and height in inches and divide by 1,728 to get cubic feet. Density points to a freight class, which can also depend on handling, liability, and stowability.
Enter one piece’s dimensions, the total weight, and the number of pieces, and the calculator works out the cubic feet, the density, and the class it points to.
